He holds a Master’s in Counseling Psychology and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Business Administration, and is currently completing his Master’s in Cognitive Neurosciences. His academic focus centers on the functional brain connectivity underlying learning and short-term memory, particularly how gender differences affect the processing of numerical information using fMRI neuroimaging techniques.

Dylan’s current thesis explores how the brain encodes and retains single-digit versus double-digit Arabic numerals, aiming to expand understanding in the fields of cognitive psychology and numerical cognition. He is also a certified rater for the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), trained in identifying cognitive impairments in clinical and aging populations.

Through his private practice, Raphael Therapy, Dylan delivers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and other personalized counseling services to individuals facing challenges such as insomnia, anxiety, life transitions, and emotional dysregulation. His therapeutic approach is both compassionate and grounded in neuroscience, helping clients reframe thoughts, regulate emotions, and restore healthy sleep and mental function.

Dylan also offers pro bono counseling within his church and local community, demonstrating his commitment to mental health accessibility and social responsibility. Fluent in both English and Malay, he works with diverse clients across cultural backgrounds and age groups, always striving to create a safe, reflective, and growth-oriented environment.

Whether guiding individuals through sleep recovery or exploring the brain’s learning networks, Dylan’s mission is clear: to support healing and clarity through science, insight, and heartfelt care.
